Founded in August 2015 in Winnsboro, SC, Fairfield Mobile Alterations is led by owner Diana Smoot Olan, who brings over 55 years of experience in clothing construction and alteration services. A graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV, with a degree in Vocational Home Economics, she received extensive technical training in clo
Founded in August 2015 in Winnsboro, SC, Fairfield Mobile Alterations is led by owner Diana Smoot Olan, who brings over 55 years of experience in clothing construction and alteration services. A graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV, with a degree in Vocational Home Economics, she received extensive technical training in clothing construction. Her passion is rooted in a rich family tradition of quilters and master seamstresses. From receiving her first sewing machine at age five, her journey has been one of lifelong creativity and craftsmanship. She passed this legacy on by educating 100s of students for 40 years as a Home Economics Teacher; culminating her career at Fairfield Middle School in Winnsboro, SC in 2025.

First, we cut the top of the dress off and made it a sweetheart neckline. Then, we created a cummerbund out of Duchess Satin, then created a bow with full length tails. We finished it off with at 3 inch button covered in the same satin.
